Red, White and Blue...For America!

Talk about some American Pride today...AMAZING!!! There is a ton of Red, White and Blue all around camp and its great to see all of the spirit around especially this morning in assembly was filled with it.  Ryan lead our assembly today and got everyone pumped up with some dancing and even singing.  He also started us off with hold the pole, Tusker from camp 1, s well as our thought for the day ("Only a true friend will tell you when you have dirt on your face").  We heard from 3 campers who all shared their touching responses regarding what it means to be a true friend.
Our Mr. America contest was in full force as well.  We had our introductions yesterday (Mr. New York, Mr, California and  our very own Mr. North Carolina).  Today was the talent portion of our contest.  Take a look at some of the pics...I would have to say it was pretty entertaining in person as well;)

The spirit stick went to the Toads...way to go Toads!  We cant wait to see how they decorate it today.

Time for Ranks!!!!
This morning our ranks consisted of Performing Arts, Creative Arts, Soccer, Kickball, Ultimate Frisbee for C3, Tennis, Basketball, Fossil Hunt (everyone's favorite), Backyard Games and we can not forget Swimming for C1 and C2.  The campers are enjoying a beautiful day outside, a little warm but they are not complaining because everything is open and ready for the fun to begin.  There are tons of campers carrying their water bottles around, so please help us encourage your campers to bring the water and drink lots of it during the day.

The rest of the day is slammed packed. Its just about time for quick check and then lunch!!!!  Yuummmmm:) So, I am off to enjoy some lunch with the campers!

Just a reminder that there is NO CAMP tomorrow!  **Happy 4th of July**

We will be back in full force on Thursday, and look forward to seeing you all then.
If your camper would like to wear their red, white and blue spirit wear again on Thursday, we will be offering another wacky tacky day for everyone!

Have a safe and happy holiday!
