As a former camper of Camp Rising Sun, it's a lot of fun for me (and many of our other counselors) to reminisce on our time as campers. Earlier this week, I was hanging out with a few kids from Camp 3 who have been at Rising Sun for a long time, and we were talking about how camp has progressed over the past few years. This led them to realizing that, after so many summers as campers, they are only one summer away from becoming CILTs!
Here's what they had to say:
"It began when we all started our first day of camp, walking into an intimidating buildling, chelnching our parents' shirts, begging them not to let us go. However, at that point we were not aware of how this one camp could change our lives. We have seen campers become counselors, counselors get new jobs, and directors leave for bigger positions at the Y. We have been at Camp Rising Sun for ten years now. Rising Sun has grown throughout the years.

This is our last year being campers. Next year we will be CILTs. Being a CILT will be so much different from this year! We are going to have more freedom, be assigned to a counselor, and go on field trips. After we are CILTs, hopefully we will all get a job as a counselor like we have always dreamed of! We'll never forget Rising Sun.
