We started the night with some delicious BBQ from Danny's - can you say YUM!?! They're so great, and we were happy to have them join us for Family Night. If you're looking for some BBQ and some wonderful people, I definitely recommend them! (http://dannysbarbque.com/html/morrisville.html)
We also had a photobooth provided by ShutterBooth (http://shutterbooth.com/triangle-nc/). Everyone loved putting on silly outfits and taking photos! The prints that they provided were definitely great keepsakes from a super night! If you took pictures in the photobooth, make sure to check back for information on how to access digital copies.
Our campers loved showing their parents around camp. Whether it was shooting colored targets down in Target Sports, searching for shark teeth at Fossil Hunt, playing corn hole or coloring the Shark Tank, or being a part of the Homecoming Football game (or cheerleading team!) in Central Park, everyone was having such an awesome time!
To wrap up the night, we had a mini-assembly where we FINALLY captured Evil Irvan and got our Spirit Stick back!! Now camp is back to normal - thank goodness!
To wrap up the night, we crowned our Homecoming winners. All week long, counselors have been voting on the campers to determine who would be selected "King and Queen" of their camp (Camp 1, Camp 2, Camp 3, CILTs). Here are our winners!
Camp One (these campers are so incredible that we just had to pick two kings and two queens!):
Camp Two:
Camp Three:
CILTs (Campers in Leadership Training):
While the counselors selected our winning campers, the cameprs also voted on the counselors and Leadership Staff who they felt represented all that Camp Rising Sun stands for (caring, respect, responsibility, honesty, and faith in God). Here are the winners!
Counselors: Brittany Fuller and D'Vario Daughtry
Leadership Staff: Sarah Johnston and Ryan Casey
Congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you again to everyone who attended! We hope you had an amazing night! We are having a ROCKIN' Friday here at Camp Rising Sun!
