"Heaty Hotty Up In Here!"

It has been an AMAZING, "Heaty Hotty" first day at Camp Rising Sun so far! Campers started the day with huddle time where they met their counselors and made new friends within their huddles. They even received brand new Rank books to carry from activity to activity.



Next, we had our very first assembly - my favorite part of the day! We went over some camp rules, including our most important rule: Have fun! Judging by the spirit and enthusiasm I saw in morning assembly, our campers will have no problem following this rule. After learning the rules, we even got to celebrate Yoshi counselor Aaron's birthday with a Pie in the Face! The kids were so thrilled to see this silly celebration!



We ended assembly with the SPIRIT STICK, our camp's award for the most spirited huddle! Today, our middle school campers in Camp 3 won! Who will win tomorrow?
